Colortrac SmartLF SGi series
GREAT COLOR, HIGH VOLUME – FOR THICK DOCUMENTS TOO
Get the bene t of CCD technology without the cost. SmartLF SGi thick-media scanners deliver full high-de nition. You’ll capture color with realism and accuracy – on originals up to 15 mm thick. The higher focal length of this series means it can also cope with originals that have raised surface detail. Instant-on also saves time and energy.
IDEAL FOR THESE DOCUMENT TYPES:
The SmartLF I Series – great scanners made even betterThe Colortrac SmartLF SCi series scanners are perfect for everyday scanning tasks. An A0 / E size document can be scanned in full colour at 12 inches per second, only 1 inch per second slower than its black and white scan speed. Connection to the host computer is straightforward and uses a standard USB 3.0 cable which is supplied with the scanner.
Colortrac SmartLF SCi series scanners feature one-piece scanning sensors spanning the full scan width of the device. Only from Colortrac, the appropriately named SingleSensor combines sensors and illumination in a single scan line for unbeatable ‘all-over’ scan accuracy and best-possible document illumination. Simple and reliable, SCi series scanners deliver high-quality scanning at an affordable cost.
Optimized all the way through, SmartWorks Imaging is clearer and easier to navigate than SmartWorks Pro. With faster performance, revised preset control, better printer drivers and a new multi-page thumbnail pop-out feature, SmartWorks Imaging is the perfect productivity partner for SmartLF SCi and SmartLF SGi large format scanners.
NEW SmartWorks Imaging
Work smarter with LINK. This portable tablet app works with any computer already connected to the scanner and running SmartWorks Imaging to bring effortless control of the scanner to your fingertips. Use LINK to reduce body movement and to improve operator comfort while scanning.
LINK Remote Control
SmartLF SCi scanners have a large, easy-to-use staging platform that accepts documents for scanning face-upwards. Specifically designed to auto-detect the size of documents placed in the center of the scanner, documents can be loaded and prepared for scanning in just a few seconds. Documents conforming to standard drawing sheet sizes (manual mode) can be placed in the center or to the side depending on the choice of software. Magnetic paper guides are also provided to make positioning easier. SCi 36 scanners have a maximum media width of 38” (965mm) and are able to scan documents and maps up to a thickness of 0.08″ (2 mm).
Large Document Staging Area
Unlike scanners using staggered sensors, SmartLF SCi benefits from a simplified pressure roller arrangement to ensure that the document always stays in contact with the optics. The rollers on either side of the scan line and the active soft pressure roller running the length of the SingleSensor are all motor-driven allowing the scanner to dynamically respond and actively work against optical disturbances caused by creases and uneven documents. This unique technology ensures that delicate or fragile media such as newspapers and old blueprints can be safely and accurately scanned without problem.
Dynamic Document Feed
SuperSpeed PC InterfaceSmartLF SCi 36 uses a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 digital interface that allows the scanner to work at full speed on full-width documents or to scan smaller documents at higher resolutions more quickly. Improved productivity is easy to achieve with the time-saving innovations built into every Colortrac I series scanner.

|Notes||1 Power requirements for SCi models 2 SmartLF SCi scanners and SmartWorks Pro software scanning at 9600dpi in any colour mode to a TIFF uncompressed file format is restricted to a scan width of 40mm (1.5”) and scan length not exceeding 160mm (6.3”). Scanning larger widths at 9600 dpi or scanning to other file formats is not possible 3 USB3 is required to achieve uninterrupted maximum scan speeds for all SCi series scanners at the ‘e’ upgrade level for originals wider than 24″ scanned above 200dpi. Colortrac recommends the software speed or quality settings be used to eliminate stop/start and maximise scan image quality at higher scan dpi/width combinations if a USB3 connection is not available 4 Thick documents up to 2mm must be flexible. Colortrac does not guarantee quoted speeds for thick media. Thick media should be scanned at reduced speeds to obtain optimal image quality. For heavy and/or thick materials the operator may need to support the document as it enters and exits the scanner. For larger sizes of heavy and/or thick media Colortrac recommend the scanner be placed first on a flat surface and the operator supports the document as it enters and exits the scanner. Colortrac recommends the paper return guide is removed when using heavy and/or thick media in the scanner|
